Founded in 2018, our collaboration explores humanity in extreme landscapes, creating cinematic, otherworldly environments that invite us to reimagine our place in the world.
Our work has been presented at the Barbican Centre, Summerhall, New Diorama Theatre, The Yard Theatre, Theatre by the Lake, The ShowRoom, Capital Theatres, Nonsuch Studios, VAULT Festival, Camden People’s Theatre, and Shoreditch Town Hall. We were Barbican Open Lab resident artists for 2021/22 and Play Artists in Residence at The Spring Centre for Arts and Heritage for autumn/winter 2022.
Our performance text for Ghosts of the Near Future is published by Bloomsbury UK/Methuen Drama.
We recently created The Shivers, a high-octane spy thriller for young audiences commissioned by New Diorama Theatre and touring to London primary schools this spring with A New Direction. In May, we will direct the world premiere of Joel Tan’s Scenes from a Repatriation at the Royal Court Theatre in London.
We are an independent, self-produced company with big ambitions. If you would like to donate to the future of emma + pj, you can do so through our Ko-fi page.
